Information on the COVID 19 pandemic (Coronavirus)

The Corona crisis is changing the way we live and work. So that you can get an idea of how we are adapting our business processes to the current situation, we have summarised the central points here.

First things first: the operation of our Virtual Power Plant is not currently affected by the corona crisis. Our trading and control reserve operations will continue unchanged, as will balancing group and portfolio management. Our sales and customer service departments are also available as usual - for all questions regarding current contracts and, of course, for the marketing of new plants.

As a Virtual Power Plant, many processes run mostly fully automated via algorithms. Nevertheless, in order to protect our employees and ensure operation, we split departments with critical processes into teams as early as the beginning of March, so that not all employees work at the same location. In general, it also applies that only in justified cases staff may work in the office, and therefore, since March 16, 2020, all employees whose work processes allow it are located in the home office.

As a critical infrastructure company in Germany, we are prepared for a critical situation such as a pandemic. As early as 2018, we have established a so-called Business Continuity Management (BCM) as part of our ISMS certification according to ISO 27001. Our BCM crisis management team and the Management Board are currently continously exchanging information on current developments and assessing the situation for the company in order to be able to respond to new developments.

Thanks to our precautions and the high level of commitment of our employees, we do not see any restrictions on our processes.
